The designs were prepared in Fusion360 export the dxf file format. The dxf files were then imported into AutoCAD to be colored for the laser cutter.
Since dxf is a type of vector file, another vector file editor we could have used is Adobe Illustrator.

| Note the biggest piece of the drone is about 11” by 11”.
We have 11” X 14” mdf boards available. |
| Note: When generating the base component, ensure that the part is square to the origin. Otherwise when placing the dxf and inserting the part in at 0,0 the part orientation will be incorrect.
|
| Remaking the dxf in the base file “MountMountActual” instead of the assembly file of “FrameLayoutActual” we see the origin is in the middle of the part and the lines are horizontal and vertical to the part |
| Here we have the parts laid out on a 28in by 33in area (6 plates of 11in by 14in)
|
| Here are the layer names, all of the parts are assigned a layer. The color of the lines are also defined by the layer. This ensures that the cut order is correct. All of the blue lines will be cut first and then the yellow lines will be cut second. |
