4/22/22 Labeling Cut Order of Drone Plates

As we pepared to cut the drone plates we labeled the order in which the parts would be cut as well as researching the best way to cut carbon fiber on a CNC router.

Some resources for CNC routing carbon fiber we used was from the CNCzone forums.

Suggested feeds and speeds for routing carbon fiber are in the discussion here.

Tim Station routed his carbon fiber parts while the plate was submerged in water so that the particles would not go all over the place, as shown in this video.

We see that all of the parts are contained within the 300mm by 400mm sheet.

We started using the manufacturing workspace on Fusion 360. This seems to be a better method for our team as we don’t have to export the files to SolidWorks to use HSMWorks.

The features in the manufacturing workspace of Fusion is all that HSMWorks has and then some.
