6/2/22 Racquet Ball Launcher Prototype Design Review

Colin Szeto

The intent of this post is to overview what goes into a design review between the assigned CAD student and the peers to cross-check work

Orbital motors need to be mounted with 2 screws only. Consider using lock tight. Do we have the correct screws to mount the motors?

Not 100% sure if we have the necessary quantity of these gears in stock here

Need to make sure we have enough of the bearings we are planning to use for the axel placements

Here

(6mm I'D, 14mm OD)

Pretty sure these interferences are just misalignment

Consider adding mounting holes here so as not interfering with the bearings

Will probably just manufacture the plate with the most mounting holes for interchangeable parts so that we are not restricted on each side for what we can mount and for ease of assembly

Can we buy these spacers to correctly space components out on the axles? 3d print these

Need to edit one of the existing 4” diameter wheels to interface with the sonic hubs here

Stealth wheels here

Consider making a technical drawing 1:1 scale for the sonic hub hole pattern so that you can print it out to paste onto the wheel and drill out the existing wheels with the correct hole pattern.

Biggest concern is do we have all of the parts to assemble?
