5/6/22 Designing the Dust Shoe

This was the dust shoe that I designed in CAD. The main design requirement was to eliminate the spray that occurs when cutting carbon fiber. This is due to the water and carbon fiber coming in contact with the spinning bit and is accelerated onto the wall. 



To remove the skirt just rotate the tabs and one is able to pull the skirts straight out of the base plate.


Both skirts can be removed, one skirt closest to gantry stays secured onto the shoe. This is for simplicity reasons as the z axis is restraining the geometries of the skirt.
