5/9/22 Assembling the Brushes onto Dust Shoe

Colin Szeto

It was determined today that 0.02 tolerance on the holders was a bit too much and the 0.01 tolerance was good enough for a loose fit.

The brushes were able to be cut with shears and drilled through with a drill bit. The ends were sealed off with hot glue.

Initially, I used sewing needles through the mourning holes and then marking the needle location with a sharpie

I used a combination of flat-head screws and washers to secure the brushes onto the skirt holders.
